Another Fort Worth Beer History Tour – Welcome to the City of Fort Worth

Next date: Saturday 04 December 2021 | 10:30

While the Fort Worth brewing story is a story well told by others, join us as we venture off the beaten path. Librarian Gaby Kientiz explores stories of how hardships, handshakes and stabs in the back, along with a lot of common sense and luck, shaped the ups and downs of over 150 years of brewing and drinking beer in Fort Worth.

Gaby Kienitz is Librarian in the Genealogy, Local History and Archives Unit of the Fort Worth Public Library. She has been a librarian specializing in genealogy, history and archives for 6 years, but not all in Fort Worth. Previously, she was a museum curator for 20 years for various history museums in Canada and the United States, with brief stints in an archaeological museum in Bodrum, Turkey, to conserve artefacts recovered from a shipwreck of the bronze age. In short, she has spent her entire professional life in public institutions preserving history and striving to make it accessible.
