Braintree Beautification Day targets Town Hall Mall, Sunset, Penniman

BRAINTREE – Braintree’s annual beautification day will take place on the morning of April 30, Mayor Charles Kokoros said.

Volunteers are asked to meet at 8 a.m. at Braintree Town Hall, 1 John F. Kennedy Memorial Drive, for location suggestions and to pick up rakes, bags and work gloves.

Target areas include City Hall Mall, Braintree Historical Society Grounds on Washington Street, Sunset Lake Beach and Park, Penniman Park on Cleveland Avenue, John Leroy Way at Braintree High School, and Smith Beach on Edgehill Road .

The Rotary Club of Braintree, North Braintree Civic Association and East Braintree Civic Association support the event.

In case of bad weather, the makeup date will be May 7th.

Kokoros said he looks forward to the event every year.
