The owners and curators of Lincoln Street are Michael and Margaret who share a love of rolling hills and tall oaks, wine, travel, art, architecture and design. With help from the Curated Studio design team, they redesigned the living spaces inside and out, bringing the perfect blend of modern and classic comfort to the inn. Michael’s roots in Texas began in the 1860s, around the same time the Inn was first built as a family home. In 1868, Michael’s great-grandfather, Ferris, spent some time in a Mexican prison due to misunderstandings related to arms trafficking. The most remarkable family bond with the hostel comes to life in an adobe wall of the hostel which was built by the same group of Comanches led by Chef Buffalo Hump (Comanche Potsʉnakwahipʉ “Buffalo Bull’s Back”) who also kidnapped Michael’s great-great-uncle. , Ignacio Felix Serna as a child in Mexico, who later became an honest citizen of San Antonio.
